Creamy Dairy-Free Matcha Latte

I have recently become head over heels in love with matcha — I know, late to the party. Although I have always loved the taste, I have never been a fan of ordering it in coffee shops because of the high sugar content. Did you know that a grande Starbucks matcha latte has something crazy like 28g of sugar?! Once I discovered I could make this really tasty at home, it was a game changer.

I use five simple ingredients to perfect the healthy dairy-free matcha latte:

  • One scoop Primal Kitchen Vanilla Coconut Collagen Fuel

  • One teaspoon organic vanilla extract

  • Organic non-gmo matcha powder (I’m not really loyal to one brand..I get them onsale at World Market but keep meaning to source from amazon)

  • One tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk (I use unsweetened vanilla MALK and it is so creamy and frothy)

Whisk ingredients together until frothy goodness is achieved.

The Primal Kitchen collagen powder just makes this sweet, delicious, and frothy without any of the sugar — a key ingredient for this matcha recipe with lots of added health benefits: “Harnessing the nourishing properties of collagen-one of the most abundant sources of protein in the human body-this unbeatable blend is the ultimate way to support everything from joints, tendons, and muscles to healthy hair, skin, and nails.” -Primal Kitchen

This recipe would be good iced as well and also works for the coffee lovers out there (myself included). How do you like to drink your matcha? What ingredients do you drink it with? Tell me your favorites!
